Part 03
The ranked list and the stand record
Every stand in the order to visit it, the map, the before and after pictures, and what each stand's record says.
The ranked list
Forest stands
Once an event is read, the page below it is the ranked list: every stand, in the order to visit it. Rank 1 is the stand that moved furthest beyond its own quiet range, in hectares, and the list runs down from there.
The columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| # | The rank: 1 is where to look first. |
| Stand | Its name and estate. |
| Hectares | The stand's area. |
| Status | above the estate's quiet range, within their quiet range, or a note that no clear look was had yet. See Reference. |
| Changed | The share of the stand that changed between the before and after windows, on the archive that decided the line. |
| Own quiet range | What this same stand showed in the same weeks of the three years before, so the reading has something of its own to be read against. |
| By | Which archive decided the line for this stand: Sentinel-2 whenever it had a clear look, Sentinel-1 otherwise. |
| Confidence | high when both archives agree, or when the optical reading clears its own bar with room to spare; moderate otherwise. |
The tiles above the list count stands above the quiet range, within it, and still waiting on a clear look. Once any stand of the event carries a claim reference, a further tile counts how many of the event's stands have one, against how many were read; see Estate records, claim references and downloads. The tabs beside the list, All, and one per status, narrow it to one group.
The map
Below the tiles, a map of the estate's stands, coloured by status. Clicking a stand, on the map or in the list, opens its panel.
A stand's panel
Forest stands › a stand
The panel gives the stand's status and confidence, a sentence on what the record found, and a small table of what each archive read: the share changed and the stand's own quiet range for Sentinel-2 and for Sentinel-1 side by side.
The before and after pictures
Where the stand has them, the panel shows the clearest Sentinel-2 look in the before window beside the clearest look in the after window, true colour, with the stand's boundary drawn on. These come from the open Copernicus archive alone.
Underneath, the panel lists the dates of every look the read used, for both archives, so the pictures and the table above them can be checked against the calendar.
Stand record (PDF) downloads this stand's own record; see Estate records, claim references and downloads.
