Blocks on a shipment and the statement

Linking blocks to a shipment, the shipment report's wood fields, and the species carried onto the statement export.

Linking blocks to a shipment

A shipment groups the blocks and plots one consignment draws on, with the commercial facts you give for it: your own reference, the commodity, a description of the goods, the HS code, quantity and unit, the destination member state, and the dates shipped and arriving. A block or plot can sit in more than one shipment.

Link to a shipment on a block's panel lists your shipments; choosing one adds the block to it. Blocks can also be added to a shipment the same way plots are, by reference or all at once for a producer, from the shipment's own page. A reference not found on your register is named rather than guessed at.

Species on a shipment

A shipment carries a species list of its own, the scientific and common name of each species in the consignment. The Commission's schema asks for it on every wood shipment, and treats a batch as wood from its commodity or, with none given, from its HS code. A wood shipment with no species given is named among the shipment's problems as waiting on you, the same way a missing producer is.

Species is live for every wood workspace, whether or not the block record itself is switched on for your account: a shipment of wood can carry species and reach the statement before block records are read on it.

The shipment report

The report is what the record shows on every block and plot in the shipment: each one's finding, or the reason it is withheld, and its next step; the shares of the batch with a finding, withheld, and not yet read; and a page for each harvest block giving its type, country of harvest, harvest window, species declared, and the record's outcome, with the record's own sentence beside it. A last page lays out the statement's fields in the order the filing system asks for them, with anything missing named.

The statement export

Once a shipment carries what a statement needs, assembling it keeps the shipment's species, producers and blocks and checks the whole statement against the Commission's schema. The statement exports as JSON, SOAP or the statement's own XML and GeoJSON, ready to file from your own TRACES account. Nothing here files anything on your behalf.
