Part 06

Cases

Where a withheld finding or a raised alert is worked, from opening to close.

A case is where a withheld finding or a raised alert is worked, from opening to close, with everything done on it kept in order.

How a case opens

EUDR compliance › Cases

A case opens on its own when a plot's evidence comes back withheld, and when the alert queue raises an alert, so opening Cases folds in what has happened on your register since you last looked. A plot already under an open case is not given a second one: whatever opened it next is added to the case that is already there.

Plots withheld before your workspace started opening cases on its own sit to one side as earlier withheld; a button opens them on request, named by the person who asked.

Cases: the counts by status, and the list newest opened first.

Working a case

EUDR compliance › Cases › a case

A case page shows the plot, why the case opened, and its record, oldest entry first. You can move it between statuses, assign it to a workspace member, set a due date, add a note, and attach a reading, an alert or a document that already exists, such as a title document or a field visit report. Closing a case asks for the outcome and a note on what was established and how.

A case: the plot, the status, and its record of what has been done, oldest first.
The record is append-only

Nothing on a case's record is edited or removed. Every action, every note and every attachment is kept in the order it happened, which is what makes the case's own export a reliable account of it later.

Exporting one case

Case record (PDF) downloads the case on its own: the plot, why it opened, its record in full, and how it ended where it has. File it beside the plot's evidence document.

Where a flagged plot needs more than its own case record, see The evidence pack and share links for the pack built to hand a plot's evidence to someone outside the portal.
